Digital Archiving & Preservation Policies
The Journal of Research in Agriculture and Food Sciences is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. To guarantee that all manuscripts remain accessible over time, the journal employs a multi-faceted approach to digital archiving, utilizing reputable and widely accepted platforms.
All published articles are archived in multiple, secure digital repositories to ensure their continued availability and prevent data loss. These platforms include:
Bibliomed (bibliomed.org)
ejManager (ejmanager.com)
Other trusted digital repositories
Additionally, the journal's entire database of published content is backed up on secure servers to ensure reliable access and protection from data loss.
Authors retain the right to archive their articles in institutional repositories, personal websites, or other academic platforms. Authors may upload their work in the following formats:
Post-print version: After peer-review, but before the publisher's final copyediting.
Publisher’s final version: The article as it appears in the published journal, including final edits, formatting, and DOI information.
When self-archiving, authors are required to ensure proper attribution by citing the journal as the original source and linking to the article's DOI.
The Journal of Research in Agriculture and Food Sciences does not support the archiving of pre-prints (versions of the article before peer review) on public platforms. Pre-prints may be shared within personal or institutional spaces, but they will not be included in any official archiving platform until the manuscript is formally accepted by the journal. This policy ensures the integrity and originality of the research during the peer review process.
The journal is committed to long-term digital preservation of published content to ensure that all articles remain accessible for future generations of researchers, educators, and practitioners. We cooperate with several digital archiving initiatives, such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and Portico, to ensure that all published articles are preserved for the future.
